3.6 Chapters 34-36 Lock, Vauseman, Theo, Holly, and Clexa
- Chapters 34-35 are Vauseman and Theo's first two weeks in the pack's existing shelter.
- Chapter 34 covers the first week: rescue, field check for Theo, Vauseman gaze, Alex's emergency bag, return to the shelter, reaction to Beta and Scout, Piper beginning to arrange a corner for Theo, Theo drawn to Robin's voice, and Nancy thinking about Holly when she sees Robin with him.
- Chapter 35 covers the second week: Piper changes the shelter so it works for a child, Alex builds emergency procedures, Robin becomes a regular voice for Theo, Alex joins Raven and Robin's Clexa betting, and the end locks Alex's quiet understanding that they have found a place, people, and a village for Theo, but not yet family.
- Chapter 36 begins after about two more weeks. Vauseman are more absorbed and the shelter is alive in a new rhythm around Theo before Finchel enters.
- The Holly line is seeded in Chapters 34-35 through Nancy seeing Robin with Theo and thinking Mike would already love her and Holly would also fit with her. This must pay off when Holly returns in the future.
- Clexa in Chapters 34-35 are at the stage of stolen kisses, touch, care, and external pressure. Their full physical and emotional explosion is locked for Chapter 52.
- Family for Vauseman is not locked in Chapters 34-35. At the end of Chapter 35 there is a place, people, and a village for Theo. Family will come later, around the Vauseman wedding in Chapter 76.
