9.8 Chapter 76, Vauseman

Alex and Piper were previously prison married / unofficially-officially married for them. The ceremony in Chapter 76 is a symbolic renewed wedding in front of the convoy, not the first beginning of their marriage.
Alex and Piper's prison and criminal pasts are revealed to the core in Chapter 76, after the ceremony and during the small party, not inside the ceremony itself.
Alex briefly explains that she smuggled drugs before the apocalypse, that Piper did one thing for her out of love, and that both of them served time. The group does not respond with judgment, but through family acceptance, humor, and usefulness.
Regina frames Alex's prison past as survival skill in scarcity, gates, hiding, and management, not as a moral stain.
Raven breaks the ice around hiding and professional experience, without canceling the moment.
Alex's injury in Chapter 76 is an operational near-death and a cut/sprain in the leg, not a bite and not a definite fracture. She limps and needs support in following chapters, but remains an active mother to Theo and part of inventory function.
After Chapter 76, Piper begins hovering over Alex physically and logistically because of the injury and marriage. This pattern must appear in following chapters, without turning Piper into a single parent and without making Alex nonfunctional.
The Always rings Alex found in the first year remain a Vauseman canon object.
