7.2.1 Steve Belief Until Chapter 16

Until Chapter 16, Nancy and Robin believe Steve is dead.

Before Chapter 16, do not write any sentence that assumes conscious hope that he is alive, for example: “if he is alive”, “if you are alive”, “if you find”, “if you arrive”, or “he knows where” when the meaning is that he is still active in the world.

If Robin speaks to him until Chapter 16, it is grief language. She speaks to a dead man, to memory, to the jacket, to the wrapper, and to the place where her body cannot put him down. She does not think he is on his way to them. If Nancy responds, she holds Robin inside grief, she does not build a search plan for her.
