1. Core Rule

The emotional core of the saga remains the four central couples:

Clexa, Clarke Griffin / Lexa
Ronance, Nancy Wheeler / Robin Buckley
SwanQueen, Emma Swan / Regina Mills
Vauseman, Alex Vause / Piper Chapman

No later couple, rescue group, family unit, council role, science arc, or city storyline replaces the core.

A character can become very important inside a specific part without becoming one of the saga’s core main characters.

A death does not automatically make a character minor.
Long screen time does not automatically make a character core.
The tier is decided by structural weight, emotional recurrence, and whether the character changes the group, the city, or one of the four core couples.
