A line of water, shame, recognition, attraction, and anger.
They bring into the story-world a water route, a boat, and a different way of living.
Their kisses do not remain only soft or implied. Their vibe also includes beautiful, physical, hot, charged kisses, as in canon, when heat rises out of friction, shame, recognition, and choice, not as decoration.
In Part 3, the kisses begin out of danger, water, hiding, and moments where the body tells the truth before the mouth knows it. In Parts 4 to 6, their heat, attraction, and desire can gradually rise, without losing Shelby's religious, family, and emotional wound.
Shelby holds a charged family and religious faith line. Her religious object, such as a small cross or family prayer pendant, is both root and wound, not an aesthetic accessory.
In Part 6, Shelby begins to turn her faith line into something communal, a small faith space open to all religions and to anyone who still needs to believe in something larger.
