2. Who she is in canon

Anya is a Grounder born of Earth, warrior and unit leader of the Woods Clan, and the woman who was Lexa's mentor before Lexa became Commander. [3]

In her canon what's important to remember:

She starts opposite Clarke and the delinquents as a rival,
Later she's captured by Mount Weather people,
Escapes with Clarke,
And finally dies in a near-pointless tragedy outside Camp Jaha. [3]
