Joyce works in a local store, raises Will and Jonathan with very limited resources, deals with an irresponsible ex (Lonnie), and across the seasons becomes the woman who insists Will is alive, who fights for him, who travels to a Soviet lab to save Hopper, and who keeps moving forward even when she's terrified.
