In this saga El travels with the group, dealing with the loss of Hopper, with her relationships with Mike and Will and Max, and with the question of how to live in a world where everyone wants her to be the savior again. She is one of the few characters whose canonical capabilities translate directly into the apocalyptic plot — but the fic must constantly resist using her as the magic solution.

Working sentence: Eleven is a girl who was taught she's a weapon and is still learning that she's allowed to also be a person who eats Eggos with her friends without saving the world that morning.
