b. Neurodivergence as canonical fandom reading

This is one of the most consistent features of the Ronance fandom. Across 10 reference fics, Robin is tagged or explicitly written as:

Autistic (5 fics, including Pocket_Sand both volumes and all_the_pretty_things)
ADHD (2 fics, including straightmanbookclub)
OCD (1 fic, all_the_pretty_things)
At least two of the above simultaneously in some fics

What this means on the page:

Robin's talkativeness, her inability to let silences sit, her "running mouth" — not chaos, not immaturity. It is how her brain processes social anxiety.
Her difficulty reading Nancy's signals specifically — not obliviousness as a joke, but as a real feature of how she experiences social interaction.
Her self-monitoring: "my mouth was like a runaway train," "I know I'm being a lot," the constant awareness that she doesn't fit correctly — this is autistic/ADHD self-criticism.
Her fixations: language skills, music, hippo facts, Russian, obscure trivia — these are the special interests that make her lovable and that Nancy eventually learns to love about her.
Her physical regulation: fiddling with her rings, fidgeting, the constant motion, "hyper" (used as an insult by Steve in canon that cuts Robin deeply in fic).

A fic that writes Robin as simply "funny and talkative" without the neurodivergent texture beneath it is missing what the fandom loves most. The depth is: she is brilliant and anxious and aware of herself and still can't stop.
