3. Who Nancy is, in canon and in vibe

Nancy Wheeler is defined on character pages as a journalist in formation, the one who immediately turns Barb's disappearance into a personal mission, and the one who across the seasons becomes brave, sharp, and far more of a leader than she was in season 1. [1][4]

Very determined, sometimes to the point of obsession, especially when guilt is in the background. [4]
Thinks through mission, information, and plan.
Highly intuitive, not only "book smart." In a Tudum interview, Natalia Dyer says Nancy is both book smart and someone who knows how to "connect the pieces" and go with her gut feeling. [2]
On the outside she is organized, businesslike, sometimes almost frozen. On the inside she carries enormous guilt, anger, and a need to repair. [2][4]
She is a person of action. In an emergency she does not hesitate. That's why people are drawn to her — and also slightly scared of her.
