g. Implications for your project

The architecture maps onto the same backbone as Clexa, with three structural differences:

The shared child is the architectural premise. They are in each other's lives from chapter one because of Henry. The arc is hostile-parenting → friendship → family → lovers.
Trauma weight is higher and more explicit. Regina's history (forced marital rape, child abuse, decades of dark deeds) and Emma's (foster system, abandonment, giving Henry up) are heavier on the page than the equivalents in Clexa.
Magic is the couple's private language. In canon. In your project, where there is no magic — the shared magic of theirs converts to physical-emotional sync moments: moments where the body knows before the head, "we work together" scenes that are emotional disclosure in disguise.

One-line distillation of Swan Queen: Two abandoned women, both convinced they don't deserve love, learning to be each other's home through co-parenting the child they share.

Project Part 2 calibration: In Apocalypse, Now, SwanQueen's emotional engine is not a couple forming on the road. Emma and Regina already live as a relationship without the word: shared parenting, civic work, shared meals, Regina sending Emma food, Emma doing the private thing Regina needs before anyone else knows to ask, married banter, control-banter, and love disguised as competence. The apocalypse forces them to stop resisting a reality that already exists.
