Anti-patterns for Henry in SwanQueen fic

Henry as plot device. Used only to bring the couple together; no inner life.
Henry preferring Emma over Regina. The canon flirts with this; the fandom hates it. Good SwanQueen fic shows Henry loving both mothers with full weight.
Henry as the tiny screenwriter. Speaking in adult cadence, solving adult problems, never being a kid.
Henry whose age doesn't match the fic. Sloppy age-tracking destroys reader trust.
Henry without friends or interests. A child who exists only in relation to his mothers.
Henry whose grief is over. Neal, the fear of Cora, the abandonment — these are not closed wounds.
