Project Overlay Locks from Pre-Writing Pass, July 2026
This file contains source-canon and fandom research. It must not be read as an automatic cast list or automatic mechanics list for Apocalypse, Now.
Project translation locks:
- Source canon informs voice, wounds, relationship history, objects, and emotional patterns, but only characters explicitly locked by Git become active saga characters.
- Superpowers, magic, time travel, fairy-tale mechanics, and science-fiction shortcut mechanics are not active in this saga.
- Eleven's source-canon powers are research context only. In this project she has no powers, is on the spectrum / autistic-coded, and is very intelligent through sensory, spatial, material, and pattern perception.
- SwanQueen / Storybrooke source material is translated into a grounded town/civic survival arc. The future Storybrooke return may include Ruby, Belle, Granny, David, Mary Margaret, Zelena, children, and unnamed background survivors. Zelena is not Regina's sister and not magical in this project.
- Vauseman family source material is translated into the locked project line: Cal, Neri, and Piper's parents are abroad at Day Zero; Piper gets one brief call and one or two early messages; Cal and Neri survive at least to Part 7; Piper's parents die; Polly and Larry are background absence only; no additional Piper sibling is active.
- Hawkins source-canon family information is translated into the locked project split: Karen, Joyce, Lucas's mother, Dustin's grandmother, and Holly survive the base/camp split with a small military/base-survivor group and return in Part 6; Ted and Lucas's father die; Erica is already with the kids.
Whenever source research and project locks conflict, the project lock wins.
