Characters active through speech, memory, object, or absence

Alex/Piper prison-marriage/key-ring history as canon-aware AU. Diane may be active through Alex's memory / name association only if prose earns it. Thea's sister/family route may be active through Thea's words or objects. Piper's family can exist as absence and grief with a locked outcome: Cal, Neri, and Piper's parents are abroad during Day Zero; Piper catches one brief call and one or two early messages before communication breaks; Cal and Neri survive at least to Part 7; Piper's parents die and can be learned later only through survivor-community / radio-relay logic; Polly and Larry are background absence only; no additional Piper sibling is active. The general infrastructure collapse timeline is now locked in canon/skills.
