Chapter 159, After the Return

General job: Let family return breathe and bridge into Avalance adoption.

Connects from 158: Karen, Holly, Joyce, Lucas's mother, Dustin's grandmother, and the small base-survivor / military group are inside the city. The young group’s emotional map changed overnight.

Core movement: Will returns more toward Joyce’s protection but remains close to Ava. Ava feels again the emptiness her children line opened in Part 4.

Must carry: Joyce and Will without erasing Ava; Sara noticing Ava; Robin / Nancy after the Wheeler return; Mike and Nancy’s sibling recalibration; city routines continuing.

Must not do: Do not make Ava jealous of Joyce. This is not petty. It is the ache of loving a child who needed you and now has his mother back.

Hands to next chapter: Avalance are emotionally primed for a rescue that will change their home.
